very cool. any tips for designing ships?
Nice and tight design, partially like the repeating element you've been using in the vehicles.
micro-warp regulator is the glowing part correct? been playing the game for only a year or so, but I've familiarized myself with the primary components of a decent few of the ships. only problem i ever see with imperial ships is the fact that they have no balance. they also either over-steer or have less-tuned braking thruster's and do not slow down properly without enduring serious target-lock lag. each factions' ships each have their own quirks, but thus so-far all i've seen the empire ships useful for are the recon interceptors being used as warp-speed ballistic missiles. If SC were to release say a "blockade-runner" class suicide ship, where its primary ability would be to kamikaze into another ship as its main, last-resort weapon, then they would have something that's both balanced and worth-while to use. extra-heavy frontal armor with weak-to-no rear armor and weak shielding (much like the Harpy sniper) and a Heavy version of the recon interceptor's micro-warp booster except it has the ability to lock-on to another ship before using its primary. it may also come in real handy what with the new destroyer-class ships and dreadnoughts due to release. but alas, it would be deemed far too O.P. (over-powered) and would never get past concept.
